Patio and Garden Renovation

Martina from Kilmainham, Dublin 8 on 05-Jan-2011

When was the work done?
The work was done in October, 2010.

What was involved?
The whole house had been recently renovated so the garden was full of rubble and needed to be cleared and renovated as well. It really hadn’t been much of a garden beforehand anyway. Colm cleared everything out, paved part of it and put in new turf and flower beds.

How did you choose Apco Garden Design?
Colm came recommended to me by one of the local garden centres. I had received two or three quotes from other landscapers and while there was some differences in the quotes, chose Colm because he had excellent ideas and suggestions and I felt that he would do a good job. Colm was also able to schedule and begin the work right away which was important to me.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Colm Henry?
I had a basic idea of what I wanted done but was open to suggestions and recommendations.

Did Colm introduce new ideas?
He did. For instance Colm was able to change my mind with regards to the overall layout of the garden. He recommended making some changes to my ideas that he felt would allow the garden to flow a bit better. He was right, it did turn out nicer.

How did the project run?
It was very good. The job took about two and a half days all together. Colm always kept me informed about the progress of the work and when they were finished, completely cleared everything away.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Apco?
The work was to a high standard and everything was completed on time as far as schedule. I liked the fact that Colm didn’t accept payment until the job was completed and we had walked it.

What’s your favourite part now?
I think for me it’s the sandstone paving he suggested. The colour really goes well with the colour of the house.

Would you recommend Apco Garden Design to others?
I would, definitely.
